If I ever tell you I’m going to sleep and then you see me posting or liking things online for about an hour immediately after that, I promise I wasn’t lying to you, I’m just bad at going to sleep and it is usually a long process that begins with disengaging from any sort of immediate contact with people (chats, for example) and ends when everything on my screen is blurry and I’m hallucinating plot points I haven’t written yet
Eve sat with her knees pressed to her chest, as she struggled to keep human shape. She kept her eyes tightly closed, blocking him from one sense at least. The corner was reassuring pressed against her back, something solid and real to focus on. She could hear him moving around the room, humming to himself, hear the sound of the knife as it scraped against the sharpening stone.
“You’re not real,” it was a harsh whisper, repeated again and again, barely audible.
His response was dark laughter. “You don’t believe that pup. “
“You’re not real.”
“I wonder, if I skin you in fur shape, will the pelt stay a wolf?”
She swallowed hard biting the inside of her cheek. “You… You’re not real.”
“Keep saying it Lycos, maybe you’re right. Maybe you’re wrong.” His voice was suddenly right by her ear, she could almost feel the heat of his breath. “One of these nights we’re going to find out.”
And with that he was gone.
ACCIDENTALLY OFFENDING SOMEONE YOU WERE TRYING TO HAVE FRIENDLY CONVERSATION WITH
What the… Sophie going to kill me…
You know what? How about this? I’ll give you her number, and you can give her a call? I haven’t had the best of luck lately, and I would hate for your message to get lost. *repeates Sophie’s new number by heart*
Eve sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing her still tender side. She’d have a scar from the silver to show for her last holiday with the Brothers, and more that didn’t show on her skin. But she was fairly well healed up. She pulled on a robe and tied it shut, not bothering with clothes. If it was Sophie she ran into, she doubted the other girl would notice, if it was Rich… Well let’s face it, she’d been teasing him for as long as they’d known each other.
She made her way into the kitchen, in search of something to eat.
Rich looked up as she came in, worried eyes going quickly over her. He was glad to see her back on her feet, so to speak. He offered a smile.
”Lycos.” He said, caressing the nickname. He was making breakfast for the whole house, filling the first plate. He offered it to her. “Hungry, darlin?”
She smiled at him, taking the plate and leaning forward to brush a light kiss across his cheek. “Thank you.” She found a spot to sit where she could watch him move. Something she always enjoyed, and picked at her food. Her smile widened as she ate. “Must you be good at everything?” She wasn’t bad as far as cooking went, but he had her beat hands down.

Has there? Well, that can’t be good. People talking about her an all. Must have parted on good terms if you’re looking to help her, most of my ex’s I’d just as soon set to walking in the other direction.
I’m not privy to where she is, last contact I had with her she was going deep somewhere up round Montana. I’m supposed to make contact again in a few days. I can let her know you’re lookin if you like, see if I can get someplace for you to meet her?
You may have heard right. Who are you Charmer? Don’t much want to cause that girl any more hurt, but I am not about to turn down someone aiming to help. Not these days.
I am actually really curious to see the ‘older’ people who have still kept their imagination!
